Directions to the HFSC

Getting around Washington, DC is relatively easy. METRO is particularly convenient and has connections throughout DC, parts of Maryland and Virginia. Driving can be a bit more challenging, parking is costly, and sight-seeing away from main tourist destinations can be entertaining in itself. With several major airports, Amtrak and Greyhound, once you are here you may never want to leave. Here are directions to the Healey Family Student Center.

From Key Bridge (Virginia, GW Parkway, I-395)

1. Drive NORTH on the Key Bridge.
2. Make a LEFT once you reach M Street/Canal Road (end of the bridge).
3. Drive STRAIGHT on Canal Road.  You will see the Georgetown University main entrance on the RIGHT.
4. Park in the Southwest Parking Garage.
5. The Healey Family Student Center is approximately 30 yards east of the garage.

From Clara Barton Parkway (I-270 S, Maryland)

1. Drive EAST into Washington DC until you reach the intersection of Foxhall Road and Canal Road (traffic light)
2. CONTINUE on Canal Road for approximately 100 yards.
3. Make a LEFT into the Georgetown University main entrance.
4. Park in the Southwest Parking Garage.
5. The Healey Family Student Center is approximately 30 yards east of the garage.

From New York Ave (I-295 S, Maryland)

1. Drive WEST into Washington DC while on New York Avenue.
2. Make a LEFT onto 12th Street.
3. Make a RIGHT onto K Street.
4. CONTINUE on K Street until you reach the Whitehurst Freeway.
5. CONTINUE on the Whitehurst Freeway, until you reach M Street.
6. Make a LEFT onto M Street/Canal Road.
7. Drive STRAIGHT on M Street/Canal Road. You will see the Georgetown University main entrance on the RIGHT.
8. Park in the Southwest Parking Garage.
9. The Healey Family Student Center is approximately 30 yards east of the garage.

From Wisconsin Ave (Maryland, Bethesda, Chevy Chase)

1. Drive SOUTH on Wisconsin Avenue until you reach M Street.
2. Make a RIGHT on M Street.
3. Drive STRAIGHT on M Street until it becomes Canal Road. You will see the Georgetown University main entrance on the RIGHT.
4. Park in the Southwest Parking Garage.
5. The Healey Family Student Center is approximately 30 yards east of the garage.

Parking

The closest parking lot is available in the Southwest Quad garage. The current hourly rate is $5/hour to the $25 maximum per day. Daily parking after 3 pm is available for $15/day. Evening parking is available after 7 pm for $9/day. For students with GU ID, parkingafter 5 pmis $5. All daily passes expire at 6:00am the following day except University holidays and weekends. Parking at Southwest Quad is cash only.
